Providing RFID system for Library and Information Center of Vietnam National University of Agriculture
Luong Dinh Cua Library and Information Center of Vietnam National University of Agriculture is a library for specific. It was founded in 1956 with the name of Agro-Forestry University library. The first material capital is inherited from Co-operative Management College’s library and University for Agriculture.
The library is an important and indispensable unit – the second lecture hall of the university, making contributions to implement successfully the mission of VNUA; strive for high quality in training, science research and public service, make contributions to the industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural development.
Prior to the development trend and requirements, it is necessary to meet as much as possible in the field of Information – Global documents in general and training activities, scientific research in particular of Vietnam National University of Agriculture and Luong Dinh Cua Library and Information Center has continuously strived, searched, exploited the funding sources to improve its service capacity.
In January 2018, the Center has been newly invested a number of modern equipment provided by IDT, including: 1 selfservice station, 4 staff station, 1 LibAssist Handheld Reader,… In particular, it has applied the new technology platform: radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to replace electronic technology (barcode) in the past, creating the basis for building a library automation system later on.
