Providing RFID system for Ha Noi Metropolitan University

The mission of  Ha Noi Metropolitan University (HNMU)  is Inheriting and developing cultural and traditional values of Ha Noi Capital’s thousand years of civilization, HNMU aims to train high quality human resource to meet the demands of economic – social development for the capital and the country.

In order to reach the common goal, “By 2025, HNMU will strive to become one of the top prestige universities of the country-training students that oriented career-application. HNMU will gradually change from research model into multidisciplinary model.” One of the most important tasks to accomplish this goal is to modernize the library. Because University Library is an indispensable element in higher education and considered as the second lecture hall – the most effective support place for learners to improve their self-study ability, self-update knowledge. The quality of university teaching and learning is closely linked to the quality of library services, or in other words improving the quality of library services is an essential condition to improve the quality of higher education.

To improve library resources and improve service quality, in December 2017 HNMU decided to use RFID – Nedap system, including:

• 1 PG45i Detection Gate set
• 1 staff station
• 1 self service station

Thanks to the IDT-provided RFID system, it is easier and faster to serve the readers’ needs of the library.
